MON543 GALVANIC BATTERY EXPERIMENT EQUIPMENT

Category:

Description

Size: 70*50*75mm/2.75*1.96*2.95 in
Weight: about 75g
Purpose: It is mainly used in the student experiment of high school chemistry primary battery to prove that under certain conditions, chemical energy can be converted into electrical energy.

Instructions

1. Pour 5% dilute sulic acid solution (no more than 80ml) into the cylinder and remove the connecting wires between the positive and negative pole terminals.
2. Insert the copper electrode and zinc electrode on the fixed cover plate into the solution in parallel, you can see that gas (hydrogen) is generated on the zinc electrode immediately, and no gas is generated on the copper electrode.
3. Connect the copper (positive) pole and the zinc (negative) pole with a wire, the zinc pole continues to dissolve, and hydrogen gas is obviously seen on the copper pole.
4. Disconnect the two electrodes, connect them in series with a wiring fork and a galvanometer, and their pointers will deflect obviously.
In addition, connect the anode of the light-emitting diode (long leg) to the anode of the electric board, and the cathode of the light-emitting diode (short leg) to the cathode of the electric board, and the light-emitting diode emits light.
